Many shoppers out finishing up last minute shopping on Christmas Eve
Salt Lake City, Utah — Some shoppers were out on Christmas Eve looking for last-minute deals on holiday gifts.
“To be honest my life is really busy and all the time I’m doing the last time shopping, I’m that type of person,” said shopper Sharon Altamirano.
On Friday, shopping for friends, family and her boyfriend, Altamirano made multiple stops.
“I’m not organized at all, so I was like, ‘Okay, it’s morning. I’m going to do it today,'” she said.
According to Altamirano, she was saved the best for last.
“That will be my boyfriend. I didn’t buy anything for him, so I need to hurry,” she said.
According to Rodney Bond and Lafecia Watkins, last-minute shopping can be stressful. They took advantage of a 5-hour layover in Salt Lake on their way home to Tennessee from a vacation trip to Hawaii.
“Especially around this time since COVID,” Watkins said. “It’s a lot of things that you can’t get to and last-minute shopping.”
