Health Dept.: 1,575 more COVID-19 cases in Utah; 10 additional deaths
The Utah Department of Health’s COVID-19 report for Wednesday shows an additional 1,575 cases—bringing the state’s total to 108,803—and ten more deaths.
So far, 1,052,059 people in Utah have been tested for COVID-19. The state’s rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 1,549, and the rolling-seven day average for the percent of positive tests is 17.9.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,247 people in Utah have required hospitalization for COVID-19. Of those, 299 people remain hospitalized.
588 people in Utah have died of COVID-19. The 10 deaths announced Wednesday are:
- Female, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, between 65-84, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, unknown if hospitalized
- Female, between 65-84, Weber County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65-84, Millard County resident, unknown if hospitalized
- Female, between 65-84, Weber County resident, hospitalized at time of death
