Annual Thanksgiving charity walk in Ogden raises $10K
Ogden, Utah — At the city’s annual Thanksgiving charity walk, turkey trotters in Ogden came out in full force on Thanksgiving morning and raised $10,000 and a full truck of donated food.
The proceeds benefit the Ogden Rescue Mission, St. Anne’s Center, Catholic Community Services, and the Salvation Army in Ogden.
The course stretched for approximately two miles for walkers, five miles for runners.
The event started at the Ogden Regional Medical Center at 5475 S. 500 E. Today’s fun run and walk were the first to be held in two years.
Last year the event was canceled in due to COVID-19 safety concerns, and in 2019 an early morning snowstorm prevented the event from happening
Organizers also held a Thanksgiving Mass in the Newman Center prior to the start of the run.
