Woman hit, killed by vehicle in West Valley City
WEST VALLEY CITY — A woman died Friday when she was hit by a vehicle in West Valley City, police confirmed Sunday.
The crash occurred about 11 p.m. at 1251 W. 3300 South, West Valley Police Lt. Justin Wyckoff said.
Monday police identified the woman as 23-year-old Shantel Sponsler.
The driver, who originally left the scene, was located shortly after and is cooperating with investigators, police said. The driver reported not realizing what they had hit.
