Utahns prepare and celebrate Halloween Eve with scary rituals
Salt Lake City, Utah – People celebrated at Utah’s Hogle Zoo for their Boo Lights event on the eve of Halloween.
“I’m just really excited as always,” Andrew Cadora, age nine, stated.
The arrival of the holiday is welcomed by many Utahns. Hannah’s birthday was celebrated by the Allen family of Salt Lake City, who also saw the Hogle Zoo’s Halloween lights for the first time.
“Halloween is something we adore. Kammie Allen remarked, “It’s one of our favorite holidays of the year.”
Finally getting to wear their matched costumes with their coworkers at the schools where they work is something that Kammie and Hannah are looking forward to.
“Me and my co-workers are being ‘Inside Out’ characters and I’m Bing Bong,” Hannah Allen said.
They enjoy making their students and coworkers laugh.
“Our musical this year is Shrek, so the second-grade team is dressing up as the three blind mice from Shrek,” Kammie explained.
Since June, Andrew Cadora has been preparing his eerie outfit. He is adamant on going all out for this year’s outfit.
“I’m dressing up as a clown and my dad is dressing up as a ringmaster,” he stated. “All I need to do before tomorrow is learn how to ride a unicycle. Just put a big smile on my face.”
There are several reasons why Halloween is his favorite holiday, but two in particular.
“It’s just I like scaring, and of course I love candy,” Andrew stated.
Others like watching the community come together and celebrate this time of year.
“I’m loving that we’re kind of getting back to life and we can come and do these kinds of things or go trick-or-treating,” Abbey Allen said.
