Utah Reports 331 New COVID-19 Cases, No New Deaths; 164 Hospitalized
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health on Sunday announced 331 new cases of COVID-19 in Utah and no new deaths.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 357 per day, or 9.5% of those tested. The state has tested 598,527 people so far, and 46,652 of those cases came back positive.
There are currently 164 patients hospitalized with the virus, 64 of which are in intensive care units. Another 40 patients are currently hospitalized as COVID-19 persons under investigation. UDOH reports 49.6% of all non-ICU beds and 66.7% of all ICU beds in Utah hospitals are occupied.
A total 363 Utahns have died so far.
The state is considering 37,701 cases as recovered, meaning those patients received a positive diagnosis more than three weeks ago and they have not died.
