Utah DABS liquor stores are gathering donations to support local organizations
Salt Lake City, Utah – Shoppers at state liquor stores across Utah will soon see a new addition — donation boxes. Customers will have the opportunity to contribute to numerous charitable organizations throughout the state while they enjoy their drinks, as each location collects donations for these worthy causes.
Today, December 9, marks the beginning of a donation collection period that will continue until February 28, 2025. Contributions support various organizations, including those focused on animal welfare, family and children services, food pantries, and assistance for the homeless.
“I am truly impressed by the dedication of DABS employees and the generosity of customers who are enthusiastic about assisting others through their donations,” stated Tiffany Clason, Executive Director of the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services.
Clason noted that state liquor stores are particularly well-suited for this level of widespread backing because of their extensive geographic presence across Utah.
“Each organization was carefully selected by employees to ensure that the stores are making a positive impact on people and animals in their local communities,” she stated.
In the previous year, the state liquor stores initiated their first-ever donation drives. Clason expressed that it was a remarkable success, and the employees are eager to participate once more.
