Two persons killed in the I-215 crash
Salt Lake City, Utah — On the west side of Salt Lake City’s Interstate 215 on Saturday afternoon, two persons perished in a collision.
A pickup truck wrecked around 2:00 PM while driving south on I-215 West close to 1000 South.
The vehicle was in the left lane when it abruptly veered across the lanes to the right, flew off the side of the road, slid down a steep incline, and then landed in some water at the bottom of a ditch, according to witnesses who spoke to UHP troopers.
There were two fatal injuries, but their names have not yet been made public. It wasn’t specified if there were any additional people in the truck.
There were no other vehicles present.
