Police searching for catalytic converter thief in Millcreek
Millcreek, Utah – Unified Police Department is searching for a catalytic converter thief.
A catalytic converter is an exhaust emission control device that converts toxic gases and pollutants in exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine into less-toxic pollutants.
According to police, the pictured suspect stole a catalytic converter off of the vehicle parked next to him before leaving the scene.
An ice chest has covered the license plate of the suspect’s vehicle.
The vehicle appears to be an 80s model Chevy Blazer or GMC Jimmy, officials said. The sides of the vehicle are white although the tailgate is black.
