1 teen shot, multiple people detained in West Valley hotel party
SALT LAKE CITY — A party with more than 40 guests held at the Extended Stay in West Valley ended abruptly when a large police presence showed up at 3:30 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.
West Valley City Police Department confirmed one teenager was shot while at the party in the hotel room located at 2310 W. and City Center Ct.
Due to the size of the party, West Valley City Police Department called other agencies to help dissolve the party and to investigate what happened.
The victim was dropped off at a local hospital in critical condition but on Saturday morning was considered to be stable. The investigation is still active as police try to piece together why the teenager was shot and who shot him.
