Salt Lake City, Utah – New robot offers SLC travelers contactless food ordering and delivery option

The mobile food ordering service  launched Gita (pronounced “jee-tah”) robot from self-service hospitality platform Servy at the airport on Monday.

Gita is the latest innovative tool that’s a part of the $4.1 billion airport redevelopment project.

Greg Udchitz, Servy vice president of marketing said “Anywhere you are at, where you need food delivered, it will come to you”.

Participating restaurants include California Pizza Kitchen , Market Street Grill and Granato’s Gourmet Market, with more airport restaurants joining the group in the coming weeks.

Gita is in Salt Lake City for 90 days, unless the airport decides to keep her based on her success. The robot itself costs $3,250.
