27-year-old man foud dead with a gunshot wound

West Valley City, Utah– Short before 5:15 a.m. Wednesday morning, police were called to the Granger Medical Clinic at 2965 W 3500 S for a vehicle in the parking lot with it door open and lights on.

A 27-year-old man, dead with a gunshot wound was found in the back seat of the car. West Valley City Police say the victim has been identified, but next of kin has yet to be notified.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide based on the circumstances says Roxanne Vainuku, public information officer for West Valley City Police, tell ABC4. Police are continuing to investigate whether the incident happened in the vehicle in the lot, or somewhere else. No weapon was found at the scene.

The authorities are looking for any witnesses to the incident. The unidentified victim is not a patient or an employee at Granger Medical Center.
