SALT LAKE CITY — Officials reported the following update on COVID-19 in the state for Sunday:
– no new death
– 231 new cases
– 12,508 vaccinations administered
The average number of positive cases in the state for the past week is now at 274 per day. The positive test rate per day calculated with the “people over people” method is now 6.5%. The positive test rate per day calculated with the “test over test” method is now 3.6%.
According to the health department at the moment 133 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in Utah. A total of 16,666 people have been hospitalized with COVID-19 since the beginning of the outbreak.
According to state data, a total of 2,512,355 vaccine doses have been administered in the state, up from 2,499,847 Saturday, and 1,449,443 people in Utah have now received at least one vaccine dose.
