376 New Coronavirus Cases in Utah; 1 More Death
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – There have been an increase of 376 coronavirus cases in Utah, with an additional death and 196 people hospitalized for treatment.
The increase of cases matched Saturday’s number – also 376 new coronavirus cases.
Officials from the Utah Department of Health said the rolling 7-day average for positive tests was 411 per day, down 15 from the day before.
There have been 570,613 tests administered in the state, with an increase of 4,258 reported Sunday. The rate of positive cases was 9.1 percent.
The latest fatality from COVID-19 was a Cache County man between the ages of 45 and 64. Officials said he was hospitalized at the time of his death.
His identity was not released.
Health officials said the total number of deaths in the state from COVID-19 was now at 336.
Officials said there have been 2,620 total hospitalizations since the beginning of the pandemic.
