Man dead after West Valley shooting; suspect at-large
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A 49-year-old man is dead after a shooting in West Valley City and his killer is on the loose, according to the West Valley City Police Department.
At approximately 7:10 p.m. police got word of a shooting near 1400 W. 3500 South.
UPDATE (Tuesday, June 23; 5:38 p.m.) — Police identified the victim of this shooting as 49-year-old Abdulraheem Al-Hisnawi. He was previously reported to be 36 years old. A person of interest in Al-Hisnawi’s death has also been identified and is sought by police.
Police say the suspect and victim “appear” to know each other. That suspect fled the area on foot.
