UHP reminds drivers to check equipment before the winter season
Salt Lake City, Utah — Utah Highway Patrol took to social media to remind drivers of checking their equipment before the colder season arrives.
Posting a picture of a truck’s tires, the post reads, “Your cords are showing….”
According to UHP, tires are one of the most important things to check prior to winter driving.
Winter weather has already impacted parts of Utah this season, despite winter officially is still not having begun.
According to UHP, having good tractions is vital, and “older tires without a lot of treads can be the equivalent of ice skates for your car.”
